Busy Bees’ Kindergarten

Important Dates:

Friday, May 29^th: Carnival 5-8 pm (volunteers needed)

Wednesday, June 3^rd at 2:00 in Room 404: Celebrate Summer Birthdays: Luke, Chelsea, Evan, Colby, Lucy & Lily B., Garret, Mrs. Deutch, and Mrs. Vomvolakis

Thursday, June 4^th at 8:45am in room 404: Busy Bees’ Talent Show (please let us know what your child will be doing ASAP!)

Friday, June 5^th at 10:30 in Room 404: Kindergarten graduation! (Followed by an all school picnic on the lawn, this is also the last day of school.)

This Week’s Homework:

The following assignments should be completed by Friday:

1. Continue to practice daily for the talent show. Please remember this is a 1-2 minute show of talent per student.
2. Practice your lines for our graduation play (in your child's folder today)
3. Review counting by 1’s, 5’s, and 10’s to 100 with your child.
4.  2-3 choices from our monthly family activity calendar.
5.  Ten minutes (or more!) of reading every night with a parent, guardian, or older sibling, etc. Sight words are fun to read together, too.  Reading together every night is VERY important.  Let’s work together to develop a love of books and reading in our children!

School library books are due every Thursday morning.

Please return all library books this week.  We will not be checking out library books this week in order to start gathering them to make an inventory for next year.  Please turn in your Read-at-Home book as well if you haven't already.  Thanks!

Thursday, May 21^st at 7pm in the auditorium: TLCS Spring Concert and Drama Presentation, Prince of Egypt (kindergartners must dress up as little sheep J)

2. Review shapes with your child by having them find something in your home to represent each shape (a plate for a circle, or a book for a rectangle).
3.  2-3 choices from our monthly family activity calendar.
4.  Ten minutes (or more!) of reading every night with a parent, guardian, or older sibling, etc.  I’m sure your child would love to read the book in his or her small manila folder to you!  Sight words are fun to read together, too.  Reading together every night is VERY important.  Let’s work together to develop a love of books and reading in our children!
