Busy Bees’ Kindergarten

January 26^th-30th

 

January Important Dates:

Monday, January 26^th, 2:25pm in Monschke Hall: K-2^nd Character Trait Chapel

Friday, January 30^th: Minimum day, 12:00 dismissal, teacher in-service

 

Homework (due Friday):

1. 100^th day project (due Friday, January 30^th)
2. Practice counting by 5’s and 10’s to 100.
3.  2-3 choices from the monthly family activity calendar 
4. 
   

   Read (at least) 10 minutes with your child every night.  Our Busy Bees are really enjoying reading their Read-at-Home books to us in class!  Thanks for helping them read these books with you at home.  Please practice reading our sight words every night, too.  Thanks for your continued support.

100th Day Project

100TH DAY NEWS

100th Day: Today is the 90th day of school-- time flies when you're having fun! That means that our 100th day celebration is right around the corner (Tuesday, February 3rd). I have some fun activities planned for your children as well as a special art project for you to help your child with at home over the next two weeks.

In lieu of the regular weekly homework for the weeks of 1/20 and 1/26, I would like you to help your child create a work of art using 100 objects. Here are a few examples:

I would love to have the art projects displayed on the 100th day, so they will be due Friday, January 30th (2 weeks from Friday).

Also, I will need a couple extra parent volunteers to help with 100th day centers Tuesday, February 3rd from 10:20-11:30.   Please let me know if you are interested!

Lastly, if you would like to organize a 100th day snack buffet for our kids to enjoy in the afternoon (Room Moms??), please let me know! I found this sample online, but our buffet could be any combo of food items. :)
